Ok, after a week running under the outtaspace.org domain, I found a better domainname for the site and it will now live permanently at spaced.ws
Update your bookmarks, and keep coming back! The site will continue to be accessible at outtaspace.org for the next while, it will simply redirect to spaced.ws for now.

Top Gear, the worlds favorite television car show, has a problem. The primary issue at the moment is Richard Hammond. Now, He’s a good lad, but it seems he can’t drive for shite – he’s gone and crashed another car, thankfully this time he’s not so seriously injured as his last escapade, but nevertheless – I have my doubts that Top Gear’s insurers are going to like having him behind the wheel next year. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

An interesting fellow, is Stephen Fry. One could almost forgive him his penchant for Apple products. He has one of those voices that demand that they’re listened to – no matter how inane the subject matter. His latest series ‘Stephen Fry in America‘ is a must watch, not because of the subject matter per se – there have been a lot of USA documentaries over the years highlighting many of the places on this particular Road Trip – but because Mr Fry makes it sound interesting. More than that, he sounds as though it actually interests him, and if a fellow of his intellectual powers is interested in a subject, then I’m all for it. If you’re feeling a little under-the-weather, his dulcet tones force you out of your death-bed to watch what he’s talking about as he races around the USA in his London Cab. It’s a pity that I’ve only seen the last two episodes of the series, now I’ll have to fork out for the series DVD if I’m to survive this damn flu.

We all know there is nothing on TV. There has been no decent content on Australian Television for over a decade, with the slide into oblivion being heralded by big brother. There has been, though, the occasional reprieve via Australian Idol. Tonight was not one of those nights. I’d hoped that with SuzieQ as guest we’d see some talent, but tonight just saw Ashleigh booted out the airlock, leaving the wall-eyed fellow looking lost on stage. Sabrina never fails to disapoint – tonight she was a screechy off-key mess. The judges like it though, maybe I’m getting old. I’ll take raw talent over cute-ness everytime. I’m not one of the voting tweens that keep this show on-air though, so I’ll keep my aged mutterings to a minimum.

Creation takes time. So much time, in fact, that by creating this blog and tweaking it ‘just so’ I’ve managed to waste an entire day. Needless to say, this wasn’t the intent when I decided upon this path. The whole ‘5-minute install’ claim by WordPress appeared, initially, to be largely accurate. This in itself surprised me – in my experience the less complex a thing ought to be the more likely it is to go completely pear-shaped. They just don’t take my endless fiddling into account, obviously. Foolish of them.
This time however, other than the tweaking I’ll be doing until the end of the universe, I’m rather impressed by how fast and easy it’s been to install and setup WP. Just about anyone could have installed this thing. MythTV could take lessons.
